Sinopec Wins US $ 42 Million Drilling Contract in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, 29 June 2007 (nCa) --- Chinese corporation Sinopec has won international tenders for a drilling contract in Turkmenistan.
According to details released Thursday, Sinopec will sign a contract with the Turkmen state corporation TurkmenNeft for drilling at Yasheldepe field.
Sinopec will drill and build 6 wells with design depth of 3100 meters over a period of 2.5 years.
Total value of the contract is US $ 42.3 million.
In addition to drilling, the contract binds Sinopec to train the local personnel.
State fund for development of hydrocarbon and mineral resources of Turkmenistan will fund the project from the accounts of state corporation TurkmenNeft.
