Chinese Premier to Discuss Wide Range of Issues in Ashgabat Visit
Ashgabat, 25 October 2007 (nCa) --- Premier Wen Jiabao of China will discuss a wide range of issues during his visit to Turkmenistan on 3-4 November 2007.
The information came Thursday when Reshit Meredov, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Turkmenistan, briefed a meeting of the cabinet of ministers chaired by President Berdymuhamedov.
The priority items on the agenda would be cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, textiles, transport and communication.
The point that will naturally dominate the talks is the landmark project of gas pipeline that will carry 30 billion cubic meters of Turkmen natural gas to China annually.
Chinese CPNC has already started building the pipeline, expected to be ready by January 2009.
Turkmenistan and China are likely to sign some bilateral documents during the visit of Jiabao.
