Turkmenistan to Build Second Cement Factory

Ashgabat, 27 July 2007 (nCa) --- Turkmenistan is going to float international tenders for construction on turnkey basis of a cement factory in Balkan province. This would be the second cement factory of Turkmenistan.
The project is aimed at meeting the high demand of cement created by the construction boom that is going to accelerate further when the newly announced national tourist zone steps off the drawing board in near future.
The geological department reports that high quality raw material is available at the proposed site for production of several kinds of cement including the special cement for the oil and gas industry.
