Ashgabat, 14 July 2007 (nCa) --- Turkmenistan has joined a regional anti-narcotics body to strengthen the joint struggle against drugs.
President Berdymuhamedov endorsed Friday an agreement between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for creation of Central Asia regional information coordination centre on struggle against illegal movement of narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors.
Timely exchange of information through the newly created body is expected to bring down the flow of drugs across the region.
